Project哥哥姐姐2014年秋季志愿者招募开始啦！

“哥哥姐姐”项目2014年秋季志愿者招募正式启动！志愿者将在每周六下午为北京农民工子弟提供一对一英语课外辅导并进行其它拓展活动。今年的活动地点在北京市文华小学。

如果你想走进城市边缘孩子的生活，如果你想结交世界各地志同道合的朋友，如果你对公益活动满怀热情，来做北京流动儿童的哥哥姐姐吧！

志愿者要求：

1．        英语熟练

2．        具备团队协作能力，有耐心、责任心和爱心

3．        能保证每周六下午参加文华小学的“哥哥姐姐”活动及9月27、28日（暂定）的志愿者培训

Volunteer Requirements

1) Your commitment.
- Arriving on time every week
- Being present, physically and mentally
- Coming prepared to engage your Little in lessons and workshops, so you make the most of your time together.

**Commitment Policy**
There is nothing worse for your Little than worrying if their 哥哥 or 姐姐 will show up; except when you don’t show up. As such, we take your commitment seriously. If you anticipate missing more than 2 sessions (out of 10), we will not consider your application. Thank you for understanding!

2) Basic handle of Mandarin and proficiency in English.

3) You can attend the 2-day 哥哥姐姐 Orientation on Saturday and Sunday (9/27 and 9/28: these dates are tentative and exact time TBD).

What will you, the 哥哥姐姐, get out of this experience?

1) You will get to know an extraordinary boy or girl and learn about his/her experience of living and learning as a child of a Chinese migrant worker.

2) You will learn about the Chinese public and migrant education systems and witness first hand the complexities and limitations Chinese families experience under the hukou system.

3) You will be trained by JUMP! Foundation in the language and skills of experiential education, and have the chance to implement these tools when you teach and lead workshops. .

4) You will meet other volunteers from around the world and from various parts of China.

5) You will gain basic English teaching experience.

6) Accepted volunteers have the opportunity to take 2 FREE Chinese language classes with our partner school, Purple Bamboo School.
